Whether you want a break from your Phoenix commercial office or you’re still searching for the ideal office space in Tempe, a local coffee shop is the perfect place to get some work done.

There is no shortage of local options, but finding a spot that offers seating, internet, and is conducive to productivity can be difficult. To help you out, we’ve created a list of the four best local coffee shops in the Valley to get work done.

A.T. Oasis Coffee & Tea Shop — Phoenix

Wanting a unique experience? A.T Oasis Coffee & Tea Shop in Phoenix offers a local coffee shop experience with international flavors and offerings. The owner, Aisha Tedros, is often found working and is originally from Eritrea, an area just north of Ethiopia. When she opened A.T. Oasis Coffee & Tea Shop in 2013, she decided to bring the tastes of home to Phoenix.

A.T. Oasis serves all-natural green coffee bought directly from Ethiopian farmers and roasted by Aisha in Phoenix. On the menu you can find house-made food options like sambusas and ful medames and drink options like cold brew coffee and customer-favorite ginger coffee. Also, they are the only spot in Central Phoenix to offer a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony for two, which is the perfect opportunity to impress a coworker or client.

Guests that visit the shop say the service is friendly, the food and coffee are delicious, and the internet is fast. The best part? The coffee shop is just an 11-minute drive from the airport for those who frequently travel.

Fourtillfour — Old Town Scottsdale
Best for when the weather is sunny and the temperatures are in the 70s, Fourtillfour offers a laid-back atmosphere and a good cup of joe for those looking to get work done in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. The coffee shop offers an outdoor patio and a grassy lawn that feel like an oasis in the hub of it all.

Guests recommend ordering the cold brew, cinnamon toast — free with a Yelp check-in currently —, or an espresso tonic, which is served courtesy of their aqua espresso machine oozing retro vibes.

Press Coffee Tempe
If you haven’t heard about the local chain, Press Coffee, it’s time to get out of your Tempe office space for a bit.

Press Coffee is touted as the first coffee shop in Phoenix to offer cold brew on tap. They roast their own coffee and they’re won Best Roaster from Phoenix Magazine and New Times.

The Press Coffee location at Skywater Complex at Town Lake in Tempe is especially suited to get work done. The space is often filled with students studying and others reading or working on their laptops.

We recommend ordering their acclaimed cold brew, but they also offer other beverages, like kombucha on tap. For food, they serve avocado toast, pastries, breakfast burritos, and sandwiches.

Echo Coffee – Scottsdale
Echo Coffee is one of those places that goes the extra mile to deliver the perfect end product. They care about the ingredients they use and the impact their business has on the environment.

Take for example their milk. They tested many dairy options — including non-dairy milk alternatives — before selecting their milk offerings. Additionally, they roast their own beans, they use organic ingredients, and they even reward you with a small, 100% organic shortbread cookie if you order a drink and dine in. They offer the cookie as an incentive to slow down and savor your coffee and as a thank you for not using a paper cup and plastic lid that can end up in the landfill.

Guests love the parking lot, the availability of outlets, free wi-fi, and the delicious coffee drinks and pastries.

Whether you’re searching for a spot that offers a delicious dairy-free latte, international flavors, the opportunity to work on a grassy lawn, or an acclaimed cold brew, the Valley offers no shortage of coffee shops to get some work done outside of your Tempe office space.
