You’ve been through a lot together; through the ups and downs and twists and turns of life, you’ve stuck it out. Your relationship started out a fragile fledgling and has blossomed and grown into something beautiful. So, this Valentine’s Day, it’s only right that you show them just how much you love them—your clients, that is! While they may not demand that you sleep on the couch if you forget Valentine’s Day, your office space in Arizona wouldn’t be what it is without your valued customers and clients.
While everyone is reminding their special someone just how much they care, take the time to show your clients and customers you value your relationship too. Here are a few ways to show them the love, without coming off like a creep or serenading them like John Cusack, boom box held overhead, a la Say Anything.
You don’t need to spend a lot or shower them with gifts, but a small token of your appreciation will not go overlooked. Send a gift basket or cookies to their office with a note that conveys how much you love doing business with them. These thoughtful gestures are great for boosting client relations and scoring brownie points. After all, who can say no to baked goods?
Throw a party, dinner, or even host a happy hour for all the people you do business with. This is a great opportunity to connect outside of your Arizona commercial office and do something fun on a more personal level. You never know what may come of it, many huge business deals were forged over a good meal and some cocktails.
Don’t underestimate the power of a properly chosen Hallmark card. Picking a personal card and taking the time to hand write a note of appreciation speaks volumes and shows that you really do care. Acknowledge your client’s support and thank them for continuing to do business with you. Thanks and appreciation go a long way.
Show Your Support
Just like any relationship, it’s important to show your partner that you support them. Whether it’s attending a fundraiser or talking them up to another business or client, it’s good to show them that you have their back. If your client is hosting an event, take the opportunity to get out of your office and show them your support. If another company is searching for a product or service in their line of work, pass their name along with a recommendation. Ask for their advice and listen to their feedback, when people feel they’re supported and valued it forges a lasting bond of trust.
